Dead Space: Extraction is a video game for the Wii that is a prequel to the 2008 video game Dead Space. Dead Space: Extraction takes place before the events of Dead Space and during the same time as the animated film Dead Space: Downfall. It revolves around a group of space colonists from the Aegis VII colony fighting against the infection of Necromorphs created when the Red Marker is removed. Necromorphs are the re-animated, mutated corpses of dead humans and serve as the major antagonists of the game.
Problems
Texture Cache Issues
Texture Cache must be set to Safe or odd glitchy lines appear in textures. Refer issue 10705.
Flash Effect / Chapter 8 Shadow Issues
- A flash effect should cover the whole screen, but only covers half.
- Weird black shadow effect that take up half the screen may occur in the chapter 8 boss fight.
Turning off Store EFB Copies to Texture Only and Defer EFB Copies to RAM will correct these.
Enhancements
60 FPS
The game is capped at 30 fps (NTSC) / 50 fps (PAL), use following AR codes to unlock 60 fps.
To maintain a stable 60 FPS, increasing the Emulated CPU Clock may be required.
NTSC-U
$60fps 04603B44 42700000
(thanks to maratnugmanov)
PAL
$60fps 04603CE4 42700000
