Set to the backdrop of a distant universe inhabited exclusively by robots, Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is on an adventure to save his home planet Iron Star from the evil General Corrosive and his various mechanical minions. You take control of the colorful machine think of him as a mini-mech who seems innocent enough but in actuality is armed to the teeth with various weapons and unique abilities. The setup results in an experience that approaches perpetual carnage, and it's all paced along and broken apart by some witty banter, too. But the real draw is the character's ability to sneak up behind robot foes equipped with open rear data panels and hack into and take control of them. Add to that split-screen multiplayer battles, and you've got total robot destruction, third-person-shooter-style.

Test Entries | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Revision | OS | CPU | GPU | Result | Tester |
3.5-1918 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-3570K @ 4.2 GHz | AMD Radeon HD 6870 | Runs perfectly at 1x IR so far. | G1zstar |
3.5-1918 | Windows 7 | AMD A6-3600 | AMD Radeon HD 6530D | Runs smooth in small areas, Drops heavily in FPS when you are in a large area, or shooting guns. Audio Very skippy. Game-Breaking performance flaws. | |
4.0-5058 | Windows 7 | AMD FX-8350 @ 4.4 GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 | Nearly unplayable with a wide variety of graphics options, multiple audio sources including gunfire cause severe and often unplayable lag. | Anonymous |
5.0-rc-0 | Windows 10 | Intel Core i5-4670K @ 3.4 GHz | AMD R9 280X | Specifically 5.0-RC-1 - Audio is fine, minor shadow glitches with effects turned on (expected), still some lag to deal with when more than a few units are on screen | Riveted |
5.0 | Windows 10 | AMD Ryzen R7 1700 @ 3.8 GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 | Managed to achieve 60FPS by using OpenGL backend, and setting power profile to "Prefer maximum performance" in NVIDIA control panel. | ALTON |
