Problems
Ghost Photos Not Recognized
On the third mission of the Haunted House Mode, it seems like the photographs of the ghost are not recognized. There is no solution temporarily.
Choppy Graphics in Black and White Scenes
There are choppy environment graphics on the black-and-white scenes (where Mayu has to go to Sae) and the G Storage Room in the Kurosawa House on Chapter 9. This can be fixed by disabling Scaled EFB Copies for the duration of the B&W scenes.
Black Pictures in the Album
Album photos will be captured black with EFB to Texture. Use EFB copies to RAM to correct them.
Wii Remote Sound
With DSP HLE, the sound that comes from the Wiimote while playing is either distorted or muted. Dolphin currently has only limited compatibility for the Wiimote speaker; it requires DSP LLE and still has problems.
Looping Sound
The sound may loop when lenses are equipped. To resolve it, either restart emulation, or try DSP LLE.
Blinking Costumes
Sometimes, the costume blinks while running when the "Original" or the "Summer Uniform" costume is being used.
Configuration
Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.
Graphics
Config | Setting | Notes |
---|---|---|
Video Backend | D3D9/D3D11 | OpenGL will crash |
Texture Cache Accuracy | On |
Version Compatibility
The graph below charts the compatibility with Project Zero II: Wii Edition since Dolphin's 2.0 release, listing revisions only where a compatibility change occurred.
Testing
This title has been tested on the environments listed below:
Test Entries | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Revision | OS | CPU | GPU | Result | Tester |
3.0-720 | Windows Vista x86 | Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.5GHz | nVidia GeForce 9600 GS | Almost no FPS loss on the interior environments (there might be a 5-10 FPS loss during village exploration). Almost fully playable. Take a look at the "Problems" tab. | MisterDuckyWell |
3.0-721 | Windows Vista x86 | Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.5GHz | nVidia GeForce 9600 GS | Same as above. The game crashes, however, while opening some random doors. | MisterDuckyWell |
3.0-734 | Windows Vista x86 | Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.5GHz | nVidia GeForce 9600 GS | Same as REV 3.0-734. No known problems/bugs, except for the ones in the 'Problems' tab. | MisterDuckyWell |
