Silent Hill: Shattered Memories: Difference between revisions
(→Problems: This doesn't seem to be true any more; if it is it's a depth issue that was fixed before 5.0, and if there was a regression I don't have it tracked and it's not in latest master.) |

Emulation Information
Phone Audio
Phone audio is played through the Wii remote. To hear the audio, either use Bluetooth passthrough or enable speaker data.
Problems
Snow Particles Glitch
The snow particles don't work correctly. They sometimes appear for a second and then disappear again or flicker for a while. This can be corrected by disabling "Store EFB Copies to Texture Only". Refer issue 10054.
Enhancements
Lighting Issues at >1x IR
When using higher resolutions, severe lighting issues may happen, especially near the tip of the flashlight. This can be repaired by disabling "Scaled EFB Copies", which may result in some effects being lower resolution, or by enabling the "Vertex Rounding Hack" in 5.0-3251 or newer. Fixed in 5.0-7714.
Configuration
Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.

Testing
This title has been tested on the environments listed below:
Test Entries | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Revision | OS | CPU | GPU | Result | Tester |
r7670 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-2500K @ 4.1GHz | AMD Radeon HD 6850 | Works totally fine for the most part. Flashlight still makes corrupted graphics anywhere it shines. | MegaJump |
3.5-382 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-2500K @ 4.4GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 | Works ok, full speed. Flashlight shows blacklines, making it quite hard to play. Used OpenGL to get around the questionnaire crash. | sofiBeatriz |
4.0-6585 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-4670K @ 4GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 | OpenGL; Flashlight black lines appear to be fixed on 4x native res, no AA and 16x AF; 1x AF gave me multiple flashlights spots. Still a lot of parts where the FPS would slow down significantly where it was 60FPS just moments ago; This was tested with both 1x and 4x native resolution. Textures in parts of the map and characters rendered incorrectly resulting in either flickering or black lines. | XzisT |
4.0-7723 | Windows 10 | Intel Core i5-4670K @ 4.3GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 | OpenGL; Flashlight black lines appear to be fixed on 4x native res, no AA and 16x AF; 1x AF gave me multiple flashlights spots. Minor framerate dips indoors but extremely low (3-10FPS) during outdoor scenarios on any resolution. Textures in parts of the map and characters rendered incorrectly resulting in either flickering or black lines. | XzisT |
5.0-3185 | Windows 7 x64 | Intel Core i7-4790K | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 | For the most part glitches when using the flashlight are gone, though there are some light flickers and strange borders here and there. Some effects like falling snow appear only if "store EFB to texture only" is disabled. Works in full speed. | unruval |
