Get locked and loaded in an exciting prequel to the Turok series. Turok: Evolution is an epic adventure set against the backdrop of living jungles, mysterious temples, and deadly dinosaurs. Battle over 32 types of dinosaurs as Tal'Set, a warrior caught in the midst of a brutal war in the Lost Land. Use your arsenal of all-new weapons including Variable Payload Cruise Missiles, Gravity Disruptor beams, and the Swarm Bore. Soar through the skies on a winged Quetzalcoatlus, or set out on foot on of the lush interactive environments. Experience an adventure before time.
Problems
Audio Glitches
Shooting several bullets or enemies and then pausing the game and resuming, results in sound glitches and sometimes weird voices or instruments samples. Also, pause many times could trigger it. This occurs on both DSP-HLE and DSP-LLE, inclusive DSP-LLE Interpreter.
Freezes and Crashes
Freeze at some 'Chapter' load screen
Game freezes when load screen appears since 4.0-4169:
- Chapter 1, Level 1
- Chapter 3, Level 2
- Chapter 4, Level 1 - Random freeze
Fixed by enable Floating Point Result Flag.
Crash at Chapter 3, Level 3 load screen
Emulator crashes with any configuration. A HLE system tried to call a undefined HLE function 0. information dialog appears if MMU is enabled, else the emulator simply closes it unexpectedly. Occurs since 4.0-3482. Fixed by enable Floating Point Result Flag.
Crashing at the Main Menu
Without MMU emulation, this game will crash at the main menu. MMU is not longer required to run since 4.0-2444.
Configuration
This game needs be enabled FPRF (Floating Point Result Flag) support, in game properties, for avoid freezes.
