Ideally, the functionality of this channel inside Dolphin would allow for download of Virtual Console Arcade games, WiiWare and Wii Channels directly to the [[Wii Menu]]. Currently this is impossible to achieve, since Dolphin triggers Nintendo's server protection; if the servers detect any anomalies in the system connected to it, it will automatically disconnect said system and ban it from further connections.
As of {{revision|5.0-2870}} it is possible to not only download demos, but also to buy Wii points and purchase titles. If using a real Wii NAND, that Wii will be able to download those titles as purchases are tied to the console ID. Titles downloaded are installed directly to your system menu.
