Metroid: Other M is a video game for the Wii developed by "Project M", a team consisting of staff members from Nintendo, Team Ninja, and D-Rockets. It was announced by Nintendo of America president and CEO Reggie Fils-Aime and a trailer was briefly shown during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2009. The game features gameplay in both first- and third-person perspectives. Fils-Aime stated that Metroid: Other M would "take you deeper into Samus's story", and also noted that the game would be a return to the style of the traditional series as opposed to the Prime series, though the game would have a "harder edge".
Problems
Audio Stuttering
Using the OpenAL audio backend in combination with the Direct3d backend seems to result in audio stuttering, even when apparently running at full speed. This can be resolved by combining Direct3d with the XAudio backend.
Psychedelic Graphics Post Savestate Load
For revisions around 4.0-273 with the OpenGL backend, post using an in game save state the graphics may be in a psychedelic state with incorrect colors. This may be related to a combination of AA/Filtering settings, though issues seem to be resolved when using the Direct3d backend and similar settings. Seems to be resolved in newer 4.0 revisions.
Black Cutscenes
Cutscenes are black unless "Ignore Format Changes" is unchecked. Forced in the GameINI by 4.0-46.

This title does not need non-default settings to run properly.
