The Photo Channel 1.0 Restore Program is a Japan-exclusive channel that is used to reinstall Photo Channel 1.0 (for instance, if Photo Channel 1.1 was installed).
Emulation Information
Missing Game List Banner
Certain Wii apps and homebrew apps never create savefiles that are handled by the emulated Wii's internal savefile lists, so no banners are ever generated for them in Dolphin.
Problems
Cannot Perform Restoration
The circumstances needed to trigger the restoration cannot be met in Dolphin: If both 1.1 and 1.0 are installed, or if only 1.0 is installed, the app says "This Wii console is already able to use Photo Channel 1.0, (…)"
If 1.0 is uninstalled outright, the app will instead say "This Wii console cannot run Photo Channel 1.0. (…)"
Configuration
No configuration changes are known to affect compatibility for this channel.
Version Compatibility
The graph below charts the compatibility with Photo Channel 1.0 Restore Program since Dolphin's 2.0 release, listing revisions only where a compatibility change occurred.
Testing
This channel has been tested on the environments listed below:
Test Entries | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Revision | OS | CPU | GPU | Result | Tester |
5.0-21088 | Windows 11 | AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @ 3.6 GHz | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 | Seems to require a Japanese Wii Menu in order to load, despite having a complete English official translation. My experiences once I was able to launch the app, can be seen in the "Cannot Perform Restoration" section above. | DandelionSprout |
