'''''Alien Hominid''''' is a side-scrolling shooter in a similar vein to games like Metal Slug, where one hit instantly kills. Players play as the titular hominid who has to fend off waves of secret agents. His main arsenal is a blaster, whilst players can also melee close-up enemies and use a limited amount of grenades. Advanced moves include rolling under shots, jumping on and biting off enemies heads, temporarily scaring other enemies, and digging underground and dragging enemies down with them. Players can collect a variety of power-ups which simultaneously give players extra grenades, a shield and unique ammo. Players can also drive vechiles, ride on top of a monster and pilot a UFO. Completing certain tasks will unlock hats the players can dress their Hominid in.
'''''Alien Hominid''''' is an independently developed console video game released for Nintendo [[GameCube]] in 2004 through publisher O~3 Entertainment. The game is a side-scrolling shooter in a similar vein to games like ''Metal Slug'', where one hit instantly kills, and can be played simultaneously with one or two players. Players play as the titular hominid who has to fend off waves of secret agents. His main arsenal is a blaster, while players can also melee close-up enemies and use a limited amount of grenades. Advanced moves include rolling under shots, jumping on and biting off enemies heads, temporarily scaring other enemies, and digging underground and dragging enemies down with them. Players can collect a variety of power-ups which simultaneously give players extra grenades, a shield and unique ammo. Players can also drive vehicles, ride on top of a monster and pilot a UFO. Completing certain tasks will unlock hats the players can dress their Hominid in. The main game features sixteen stages spread across three areas, Urban, Russia and Area-51. Outside of the main game, there are three multiplayer modes; Challenge, Neutron Ball and Pinata Boss, a PDA game, featuring around 200 levels and a level editor, and a retro minigame, ''Super Soviet Missile Mastar''.

== Emulation Information ==
=== Erratic FPS ===
FPS will jump erratically from tens to thousands of frames per second, depending on your system. This will not negatively affect gameplay in any way, however you can enable V-Sync in the graphics options to lock the FPS to your monitor's refresh rate, which will reduce the load on your GPU while adding a small amount of input lag. Recommended for high-end systems. This can however be fixed with a Gecko code.

{{testing/entry|revision=4.0-5942|OS=Windows 7|CPU=Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @2.34 GHzx4|GPU=NVIDIA GeForce GT 120|result=Perfect. Upscaling (internal resolution) is kinda useless, as the game is almost entirely sprites, which have a generally low resolution (pixelly), so unless you are using an HD texture pack, it's a waste of power. Runs at a stable 200-600FPS, and the first game I got a stack overflow on. Not very amused. I  would expect something like that from Sonic Colors or Super Mario Galaxy 2. Also, it sometimes-not-very-oftenly does this thing where it glitches out Windows Explorer by rapidly closing and reopening Dolphin, but keeping the game running, and constantly having it out of focus. And when I try to stop the emulation, it somehow hides the cursor through the entire Dolphin window. And when I try to bring it back into focus on the taskbar, THE ICON FOR DOLPHIN JUST ISN'T THERE. It's still running, just not on the taskbar...? And now it says it's not responding on the taskbar and fading to white, WHEN I CAN SEE THAT THE GAME IS STILL RUNNING AND IT IS JUST NOT RECEIVING KEYSTROKES! This is the only game this happens on! THIS GAME IS TROLLING ME!!|tester=LotadTheGreat}}
{{testing/entry|revision=4.0-9440|OS=Windows 10|CPU=Intel Core i7-2630QM|GPU=AMD Radeon HD 6650|result=FPS seems to change randomly when in the menu. The intro seems to freeze with an annoying noise. The games itself works fine.|tester=francis}}

Everything I tried worked perfectly with default settings, no erratic fps anywhere, but admittedly I didn't play very far.|tester=Xerxes}}
