Final Fantasy III, known in Japan as Final Fantasy VI (ファイナルファンタジーVI Fainaru Fantajī Shikkusu), is a role-playing video game developed and published by Square (now Square Enix), released in 1994 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System as a part of the Final Fantasy series.

Global Problems

Glitched Sound

Sound is glitched in the OpenAL backend. Use XAudio2 to prevent this.

Half Speed

Titles run at half speed on normal settings. Check "Enable Progressive Scan" to fix this.

Stuttering Video

Titles will freeze at times while the game still runs. While it is much less severe than other VC platforms, all games are affected by it on some degree. Set "Texture Cache Accuracy" to "Position 1 (Safe)" to fix this. Some SNES VC titles have this set in the GameINI by default, but most do not.

[edit] Stretched Video

Most graphics are stretched 100% horizontally to the right side of the screen. Use EFB to Ram to fix this.

[edit] Configuration

Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed. Please see the performance guide for an overview of performance related settings. A full list of options is available at Template:Config/doc
