Pikmin is a strategy video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo GameCube video game console in 2001. Pikmin is the first game in the Pikmin series of video games, and the third game for the gamecube overall. It was designed by Shigeru Miyamoto. The sequel, Pikmin 2, was released in 2004. The image song, "Ai No Uta" by Strawberry Flower, appeared in the Japanese commercials for the game, but soon became an unexpected hit song, eventually eclipsing Pikmin's sales. As of March 31, 2002, Pikmin has sold over one million copies.
Will sometimes hang on a black screen when the day ends. This mostly happens when using save states on that day.
 Sound Bugs
Pikmin has various sound and music issues with DSP HLE, DSP LLE corrects these issues.
Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed. Please see the performance guide for an overview of performance related settings. A full list of options is available at Template:Config/doc

|Windows 7 x64||AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400 @ 2.2GHz||nVidia GeForce GT 440||Perfect, but having more than 60 active Pikmins causes the game to slow down.||Endres|
|Mac OS X 10.7.4 Lion x64||Intel Core i7 @ 2.2GHz||AMD Radeon HD 6750M||Works great at 100% speed almost all of the time, using 80+ Pikmin will cause a slight slowdown (from 100% to 87%, not major at all). No bugs encountered, completely finished the game.||Axxer|
