Title Trappings

This page mimics a Title page on the wiki, but it's unrelated to a specific title. It should be redesigned to more closely mimic the various guide pages. Kolano (talk) 21:42, 19 March 2017 (CET)

I also think so, but i'm not so experienced in wikis EblfIYH (talk) 21:58, 19 March 2017 (CET)

Can this page exist?

I mean, this is an unofficial online service and according to Wiimmfi.de it cannot be run natively. It needs a proper NAND Dump for running properly. EblfIYH (talk) 19:03, 18 March 2017 (CET)

I'm against it. We don't provide support for modified ISOs on the wiki and Wiimm already showed signs of being against people using Dolphin to connect to their servers mainly due a increased amount of cheaters, facilitated with Dolphin AR/Gecko code features. - mbc07 (talk) 23:18, 18 March 2017 (CET)
Yeah, i see why, it would be an uthopy if there were not cheaters. Even with restricting the dolphin NAND and the seven days for console activaction for MKW and SSMB there are still users who get through using unbanners, i hope Wiimmfi gets more secure soon for avoiding these kind of issues, however i will let this page here. I asked because i had mixed opinions and my good side says that there should be a guide for the honest players. I know this won't be easy to solve.
I follow a fb group about mkw and other games to be played ghroug wiimmfi, fortunately i have long time without seeing an "where can i download the unbanner?" Also i saw a post in the forum about connecting using Unbanners. I think that post should be deleted.
Buy why is there an action replay page? EblfIYH (talk) 03:27, 19 March 2017 (CET)
Action Replay was an officially released product, and doesn't result in modified ISOs being created.Kolano (talk) 03:45, 19 March 2017 (CET)
Can't we do an alternate idea: it should be possible to redirect traffic to the unofficial servers without modded ISOs. If that was possible, would it be worth having information about Wiimmfi on the wiki? At this point, I don't think cheaters on Dolphin are a big deal, they have hundreds of users a day max... I don't think they'd mind some extra people, even if it comes with a risk. JMC4789 (talk) 11:21, 19 March 2017 (CET)
If we had an alternate method for the server redirects I'd be more supportive. Kolano (talk) 18:11, 19 March 2017 (CET)
Me too. - mbc07 (talk) 20:16, 19 March 2017 (CET)
I'm just now seeing this discussion, and even though it's already more than 3 years old, I wanted to add a comment for whoever reads this in the future. Yes, the most common way to use Wiimmfi on Dolphin is to just patch your images, but if you don't want to do that, there is nothing stopping you from just booting the Auto Wiimmfi Patcher (which is a Wii Homebrew) in Dolphin, and then load a stock, unmodified ISO through that to connect to Wiimmfi. The so-called "Wiimmfi Unbanners" mentioned above are no longer working on Wiimmfi, and neither Wiimm nor me are against people using Dolphin to play on Wiimmfi. -- Leseratte10 (talk) 09:32, 30 August 2020 (CEST)
