In Kirby's Return to Dream Land, known in Japan as Kirby of the Stars Wii (星のカービーWii, Hoshi no Kābī Wii) and in Europe as Kirby's Adventure Wii, Kirby and his friends are back in an adventure designed to satisfy longtime Kirby fans and beginners alike. When an alien spaceship crashes in the otherwise peaceful realm of Pop Star, its pieces are scattered throughout the land. Players must guide Kirby as he retrieves the ship’s parts and helps the aliens return to their home planet. This time, however, he’s not alone. At any time, up to three more players can join in the fun and play as Meta Knight, King Dedede and Waddle Dee to help Kirby in his quest.
Problems
Long Black Shadows in OpenGL
In OpenGL, shadows appear as tall black blobs instead of proper shadows. If on Windows, use D3D to avoid this problem. This issue was not fixed by the GLSL OpenGL rewrite in 3.5-1064. See issue 5094.
Template:SBlaring Sound Effects with HLE AudioTemplate:/s
When using HLE to process audio, some sound effects blare or have noticeable static, most prominently the "damage taken" sound effect. Use LLE to avoid this problem. Presumed to be fixed by 4.0-3743.
Configuration
Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.
Graphics
Config | Setting | Notes |

3.0-201 | Windows Vista | AMD Phenom II X4 840 @ 3.2GHz | ATI Radeon HD 5700 | Very playable. A little tearing here and there but the game runs perfectly. | Sealion |
3.0-204 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-750 @ 2.67GHz | ATI Radeon HD 5850 | Perfect, pretty much. Very rare dips below 100% | crumbworks |
3.0-204 | Mac OS X 10.7.2 | Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.4GHz | NVIDIA GeForce 9400m GT | Acceptable speed (80%+) Collision map seems to be shifted a little up/right in some stages | Poffertjee |

3.0-458 | Mac OS X 10.7.4 | Intel Core i5 @ 2.4GHz | Intel HD 3000 | An unplayable mess. Every texture, from the "hold remote sideways" message to the main game is corrupted beyond recognition. The speed stays around 80%, but it is completely useless due to the garbled graphics. | Ac |

3.0-692 | Windows 7 | AMD FX-4100 @ 4.5GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 | The frames are very sharply, from 60FPS to 20FPS down to. also if you press no longer so for example pauses the game, it come to a tone error, he then plays a melody and only from himself. also can not use cheats, which means, once I activate that either the emulation crashes, or when I activate cheats and go into another room then only a black image, it does no longer. and by the way do not work all the mini-games, which means that it crashes. | Serverbot777 |
3.0-763 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-2450M | AMD Radeon HD 7610M | Perfect | Chinmorph |
3.0-843 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i7-2600K @ 3.6GHz | Intel HD 3000 | Perfect, but some game stuttering because of slow GPU. | 23732 |
4.0.2 | Arch Linux | Intel Core i7-2600 @ 2.6GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 | Almost perfect, long black shadows. | 10n45 |
4.0-1594 | Windows 8.1 | Intel Core i7-3820QM @ 2.7GHz | NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M | 55-60FPS @ 1.5x IR. Occasional drops to 50FPS during a boss fight. The audio seemed to pop in a few places (especially during the defeat of a boss) on HLE. | spalmesano |
4.0-3369 | Windows 7 | Intel Core i5-2430M @ 2.4GHz | Intel HD Graphics 3000 | Perfect 100%, 60FPS using lowest internal resolution, backend Direct3D, XFB enabled to virtual, V-sync enabled, idle skipping disabled, set your computer to high performance. | Talos |
