Wii Fit Plus (Wiiフィットプラス) is a fitness video game by Nintendo for the Wii console, and is an enhanced version of Wii Fit. In addition to the original Wii Fit activities and options, Wii Fit Plus incorporates 15 new balance and aerobics games (referred to as "Training Plus") and six new strength training and yoga activities. New features include a calorie burning counter, the ability for users to create custom fitness regimens or choose from a number of specialized routines based on specific objectives and available time, as well as having the option to create profiles for pets and babies. Users are also able to navigate more quickly between exercises.
Wii Fit Plus is sold bundled with a Wii Balance Board, as well as separately for existing Wii Balance Board owners. Most activities are for a single player, but there are a number of multiplayer activities that allow for up to 8 players to take turns using one Wii Balance Board.
Emulation Information
Wii Balance Board
No emulation is provided for the Wii Balance Board; this title requires a real Wii Balance Board to function.
- In Bluetooth Passthrough mode, a Balance Board can be synced just like any Wii Remote, without any special configuration. Refer to the article for details.
- Otherwise, set the Balance Board option in the Controller Configuration dialog from "None" to "Real Balance Board". Then press the red "Sync" button in the battery compartment of the balance board, and press "Refresh" if Continuous Scanning is disabled. There is no fast sync (Wii Remote 1+2) in the Balance Board, so the sync button must be used each time.
Wii Balance Board Disconnects
The Wii Balance Board tends to disconnect after a while. This can be avoided by turning off Wiimote Speaker Data, or by using Bluetooth Passthrough. See issue 9188.
Problems
Rhythm Parade
Rhythm Parade hangs with a white screen. Disable Dual Core to avoid this.
Channel Installation Functionality
The game will ask you to install a Wii Fit Plus Channel on the Wii Menu at some point. You can go through the process and it will install and return to the game successfully. The system menu will not actually have the Wii Fit Plus Channel, though. Fixed by 5.0-1837.
Missing Banner Mii Faces and Graph in Channel
Mii faces and the graph are missing in the Wii Fit Plus Channel's banner and overview on the system menu. Disable Store EFB Copies to Texture Only on both the channel and the main game to fix this (both of them generate the images). Refer issue 11858.
Configuration
Only configuration options for the best compatibility where they deviate from defaults are listed.
