Lego Star Wars: The Video Game is a video game based on the Star Wars themed toy line by the Lego Group and the first game in TT Games' Lego videogame franchise. It takes place during the prequel trilogy (The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith), with a bonus segment from A New Hope. Lego Star Wars was first released on April 5, 2005, a full month before the final Star Wars film premiered.
Problems
Cracking sound
Sometimes you'll hear a cracking sound. For example when a movie plays you sometimes hear a cracking sound. Also after a few seconds you left Dexter's diner (when you go to the place where the minikits are) you'll hear the cracking sound a few seconds.
You can fix this by changing the DSP Emulator Engine to DSP LLE Recompiler at the Audio tab. See issue 6393.

Testing
This title has been tested on the environments listed below:
Test Entries | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Revision | OS | CPU | GPU | Result | Tester |
3.5-402 | Windows 8 x64 | Intel Core i7-3820 | nVidia GeForce GTX 670 | 60 FPS, occasional framedrops in netplay | Oerg866 |
4.0-4589 | Linux Ubuntu 14.04 | Intel Core i3-3220 @ 3.3GHz | nVidia GeForce GTX 650 | Playable with default settings. Vehicle levels can have varying amounts of slowdown; podracing for example is perfect but the flying mission at the start of Episode 3 can slow down to almost 50%. The regular stages work fine at constant 100% speed with only a few minor texture issues. Using the "Continue Story" button at the end of a mission once crashed the game before it was able to finish saving, making me lose all my progress, so I recommend going back to the diner between stages. Able to complete every mission. | Xerxes |
